The Morning After

Territorians reportedly spent millions on fireworks for cracker night and we totally believe it. The aftermath clearly demonstates why fireworks are banned in other states.

Uncountable numbers of grass fires even just across Darwin. Dozens of people injured requiring medical assistance. Buildings fires. Who knows how many lost dogs. This is just not a half hour fireworks display at one loaction, it is 5 hours of the most intense flashbangs across city and across the state.

We were up early the next morning to go birding up at Lee Point. The fireys were still rushing about the city with sirens wailing as peak hour was building on the roads. At Lee Point the grass fire was still smoldering as the fireys were leaving.
